Professional Development Opportunities


Scholarship Programs

Training Scholarships. The Office of Child Care funds training scholarships for licensed center and family child care providers, including CDA scholarships, CDA renewal scholarships, and NCCA Director’s Credential scholarships.

Tiered Reimbursement Rates

Utah pays higher reimbursement rates to child care centers and family child care programs that are accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA), National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC), and National School-age Care Alliance (NSACA).


Wage Incentives

Early Childhood Career Ladder. Recognizes and rewards early childhood workers for their completion of specialized trainings in the early childhood field. Participants in the Career Ladder Program receive a certification and cash bonus for each level of training they complete.
